What are the shipping times?

For the Greater Toronto Area (GTA), shipping takes 1–2 business days. Canada-wide shipping takes 3–7 business days.

Do you offer international shipping?

Currently, we only ship ebikes within Canada.

What is the return policy?

Returns are accepted within 30 days of delivery. Items must be unused and in original packaging.

Are there items that cannot be returned?

Yes, used products, batteries, special orders, sale items, gift cards, and gifted orders are non-returnable, except in cases of malfunction covered by warranty. 

How do I initiate a return?

Contact EBIKECAN to receive prior authorization and a prepaid return shipping label. Warranty issues must be resolved before processing a return.

Is a signature required at delivery?

Yes, for e-bikes and batteries, a signature is usually required due to the item's high value and lithium-ion battery regulations.

Orders

How can I place an order?

Orders can be placed directly through the website’s online store, In-person at our shop located in Richmond Hill, or over the phone, Mon-Sat (10 AM - 5 PM).

Can I modify or cancel my order after placing it?

Yes! You can contact us to change, customize, or cancel your order anytime prior to the items being shipped out.

What payment methods are accepted?

We accept all major Credit Cards, Debit, Google Pay, PayPal; as well as financing options through our partners Klarna & PayPlan by RBC.

Is financing available for purchases?

Yes, financing options are available for e-bikes and accessories. you just need to choose PayPlan by RBC or Klarna, at the check out. It only takes a few clicks!

Will I receive an order confirmation?

Yes, an email confirmation with order details will be sent upon purchase.

What types of e-bikes does EBIKECAN offer?

EBIKECAN provides a diverse range of e-bikes, including city commuters, gravel, E-MTB, foldable, and all-terrain bikes.

Are the e-bikes certified for safety?

Yes, all Ebikecan models are tested and certified to UL-C Standard including UL-2271 and UL-2849.

Do the e-bikes come with a warranty?

All e-bikes come with a comprehensive 2-year warranty covering manufacturing defects, including the frame, electrical components and other non-wear and tear items.

Can I test ride an e-bike before purchasing?

Absolutely! You can book a free test ride through the website, or just by calling us in advance.

Are your ebikes water resistant?

Yes, all our e-bikes are designed with an IPX65 water resistance rating, making them safe to use in rainy conditions. However, we advise against fully submerging the e-bike in water.

What is the lifespan of an e-bike battery?

Most e-bike batteries last 3-5 years, depending on usage and care. EBC Batteries are rated to retain 80% of their original capacity after 1500 charge cycles. Proper charging and storage can extend battery life.

What are the differences between Class 1, Class 2, and Class 3 E-bikes?

Class 1: Pedal assist only, no throttle — up to 32 km/h

Class 2: Pedal assist + throttle — up to 32 km/h

Class 3: Pedal assist only, no throttle — up to 45 km/h

What is the difference between Torque sensor and Cadence sensor?

A torque sensor responds to how hard you pedal, delivering smooth, natural assistance that feels just like riding a regular bike—only easier. A cadence sensor activates the motor as soon as you start pedaling, providing steady and effortless support, perfect for a relaxed and easy ride.

What’s the difference between a belt drive and a chain drive?

A belt drive system uses a durable carbon belt instead of a traditional chain, offering a quiet, clean, and low-maintenance ride. It’s highly durable and typically lasts much longer than a chain. A chain drive system is the classic and widely used option, known for its strong performance, efficiency, and easy servicing—making it a reliable choice for all types of riding.

What’s the difference between a hub drive and a mid-drive motor?

A hub drive motor is located in the wheel hub and delivers smooth, consistent power, making it simple, quiet, and great for easy, everyday riding. A mid-drive motor is positioned at the bike’s crank, providing balanced weight distribution and efficient power transfer through the gears—ideal for better performance on hills and a more natural riding feel.

Can I assemble the e-bike by myself?

Yes! Our E-bikes arrive 90% pre-assembled. You'll just need to install the handlebar, front tire, and lights. Assembly is simple and user-friendly.

Does pedaling charge the battery?

No, e-bikes do not recharge the battery through pedaling. The battery must be charged using the provided charger and a standard outlet.

Can I ride my e-bike like a regular bicycle?

Yes, you can! Most e-bikes are designed so you can pedal them manually, just like a regular bike—even when the motor is off or the battery is removed.
